VILLA FRUA
STRESA

Event Location

The town of Stresa overlooks Lake Maggiore in a rather charming position near the gulf home to the scenic Borromean Islands of Isola Bella, Isola Madre and Isola dei Pescatori (Bella Island, Madre Island and Pescatori Island). This peculiarity along with a mild climate and harmoniously-combined scenic and architectural beauties attract thousands of tourists every year, making this town one of the most popular Italian tourist destinations.

Villa Frua

Villa Frua is a charming Art-Nouveau-style building located in Stresa, built in 1912 by the Milanese entrepreneur Giuseppe Frua as a gift to his beloved wife Anna de Angelis. Born as a summer residence, during World War II the Villa became the permanent home of the Frua family, who moved from Milan to the lake shores and still manage the property. Famous for the elegant and glitzy parties that the owners threw to entertain their guests, Villa Frua has been recently restored to the glories of the past thanks to a masterful architectural project that has enhanced the beauty of the original structure with the inclusion of modern details, transforming this historic building into an ideal location for weddings, events, photo shootings and lavish stays.
